Pupil Premium
At Stithians School, we are committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. The Pupil Premium is extra funding given to schools to help improve the learning and wellbeing of children who may face additional challenges.
Who is Pupil Premium for?
We receive this funding to support children who:
-
Are eligible for Free School Meals now or have been at any time in the last 6 years
-
Are Looked After Children or previously looked after
-
Have parents serving in the Armed Forces
How do we use the funding?
We use Pupil Premium to:
-
Provide additional teaching and learning support, including small-group and 1:1 interventions
-
Support children’s emotional wellbeing through pastoral programmes
-
Offer help with curriculum access, such as resources, enrichment activities and wider opportunities
-
Ensure pupils have the right support in place to help them make good progress and feel confident in school
What difference does it make?
Our aim is to:
-
Close gaps in learning
-
Increase confidence, resilience and engagement
-
Ensure all pupils have access to high-quality teaching and opportunities
-
Support children to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally
Working in partnership
We believe that working closely with families is key. If you think your child may be eligible for Pupil Premium funding, or if you have any questions, please contact the school office—we’re always happy to help.
